About

My nickname is Joey and I am the single metalsmith creating wearable art in my small Northern California studio. I independently design, fabricate, and ship the items listed on my site.
My passion for jewelry making started by stringing beads on leather cord and selling necklaces and bracelets at trade fairs. I wanted to learn metalsmithing, so I took summer courses at UC Davis, to learn silversmithing using sterling silver and gemstones. However, life, children and my work took me on a different path over the years and it was not until after I retired that I was able to return to making jewelry full time.
I use recycled precious metals whenever possible and enjoy using freeform cabochons, Turquoise, Sapphires, Moonstones etc. versus perfectly calibrated stones. Some of the handmade pendants and earrings I make are purposely mismatched rather than perfectly paired. My style is inspired by nature, sometimes rustic and/or modern.
I am happy to take on custom pieces and create a special piece of jewelry or button you would love to own. Please feel free to reach out to me via the contact form for a special piece of jewelry, questions or information.
Thank you,
Joey
